Stratford Choral Society celebrates the best of choral traditions
Our Choral Society performs both modern and classical choral works to a high standard, delivering three to four concerts a year.
Under the direction of our dynamic music directorOliver Neal Parker, we perform with some of Britain’s finest up-and-coming soloists and with the Regency Sinfonia which together make our concerts very special musical occasions.
To a packed church on November 18th we performed an exciting and ambitious work – Handel’s Samson – joined by six top-tier soloists playing the dramatic roles of Samson, Micah, Manoah, Harapha and Delilah. We were very pleased to receive resounding applause. Our thanks go to Oliver for his boundless energy in bringing it all together and to our soloists for their enchanting performances.
We are now rehearsing Mozart's Requiem and Haydn's Insanae et vanae curae, which roughly translates as ‘Futile and raging cares flood our minds’ for our next concert on 23rd March at Holy Trinity Church, Stratford-upon-Avon.
