A great choral tradition ~ A great place to sing

Stratford Choral Society celebrates the best of choral traditions

Our Choral Society performs both modern and classical choral works to a high standard, delivering three or four concerts a year.

Under the direction of our dynamic music director Oliver Neal Parker, we perform with some of Britain’s finest up-and-coming soloists and with the Regency Sinfonia which together make our concerts inspiring occasions.

Our 2024-25 season culminated in a very special performance of the St John Passion by J.S. Bach accompanied by an orchestra of period instruments. You can read more about it here.

Our first concert of the new season featured Gabriel Fauré's Requiem and works by his contemporary Vierne, and has recieved great aclaim.

We are now rehearsing for our Christmas concert, Prelude to Christmas, on December 13th. More details
here.

Our door is always open to new members - see the Join Us page for details. It is best to join at the start of the season or at the start of rehearsals for one of our concerts. Come and share your voice and make new friends, and experience the joys of choral singing.

We are looking forward to 2026 when we will perform Mendelssohn's Elijah. Singers wishing to join for this concert should contact our membership secretary now, and join at the start of rehearsals in January.
