A great choral tradition ~ A great place to sing

Stratford Choral Society celebrates the best of choral traditions

Our Choral Society performs both modern and classical choral works to a high standard, delivering three to four concerts a year.

Under the direction of our dynamic music director Oliver Neal Parker, we perform with some of Britain’s finest up-and-coming soloists and with the Regency Sinfonia which together make our concerts very special musical occasions.

Our concert on 23rd March featured Mozart's Requiem and was very well recieved by a large audience. The full programme included Haydn's Insanae et vanae curae, which roughly translates as ‘Futile and raging cares flood our minds’ and two shorter pieces by Mozart. You can read a review on our News and Reviews page.

This summer we learned a programme of Shakespeare-themed songs for an informal concert on 15th June. Lighter than our normal music, it included songs by 20th century composers such as Bob Chilcott, William Walton and a jazzy compilation by George Shearing. Concert details are here.

More details of our programme for next season will be added shortly.
